How To Make A Ribbon Storage/Dispensor Box 4 Scrapbooking Ribbon

Ribbon storage box instruction

How to make this ribbon storage box? Here is step by step instruction.

1. Supplies.
a) I bought the 'photo storage boxes' from Joann. $3.99 each.

Also you can buy shoe boxes at uline.com,
about $2 each but you have to buy in bulk.

b) bought pattern paper from joann.

c) bought Mod Podge at joann

d) bought 3/8" eyelets at joann

e) bought American tag homepro LR setter on eBay

2. Cover the lid with pattern paper using mod podge. I also made another one, just paint the lid and the base, all in pink.

3. Punch hole and set eyelets on both side.

The pattern paper has grid printed on back. Use mask tape to secure the grid paper on the side of the box. Use grid as guideline and punch the holes. Then remove the grid paper, set the eyelets.

4. Thread the ribbon through. No need to use a dowel.

5. For 7/8" or 1.5" ribbon, make slits instead of punch holes. Click here to view storage box for wide ribbon or 100 yard spools.

6. Check out the thread in out forum about this project--more ideas.
