Gather Supplies: Needle and thread Ruler Cardboard(only for pattern) Pattern Ribbon(choice of color and size)- Use the scraps you have on hand. About 5 inches long Rhinestone for center Choice of clip Lighter Glue gun M&M's (or your choice of snack) - Draw the size of flower you want on the cardboard. Mine was about 1 inc X 1 inch. That was using 7/8 inch ribbon. You can use 1.5 inch ribbon for a bigger flower if you want. - Place your pattern on your ribbon. Cut along the edges of the pattern. -Cut out 5 petals and heat seal on all edges. -Now take the edge that is straight and fold it like you would fold the center of a bow. Pucker the center and fold up on both sides. -String the petals on the needle as you get them folded. -After all is on the needle push them onto the string and fan them out. Adjust the petals as needed. Pull the thread to tighten to make sure the petals are close together and tight. -Now turn the flower over and stitch into the flower petal right next to the last one several times. Turn the flower back over and put a dab of glue on the back of the rhinestone and attach to the center of flower. -Now you can cut the 2 leaves out of the ribbon of choice. Make sure to heat seal them also. -Eyeball and see where you want your leaf to be sticking out at. Put a dab of glue on one end and attach to the back of the flower. -Do the same for the second leaf -Line your clip of choice and attach the flower with a little hot glue to the clip. Now you have made a flower using the scrap ribbons that you have laying around. Here is another one I had made using different colors.
I hope you have enjoyed my instructions and could understand them. I absloutely love making these flowers.
